Full Time Marketing/PR Director
Los Angeles Ballet is immediately seeking a Full-Time Marketing/PR Director. This position requires availability Monday through Friday 9am -5pm.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
The Marketing/PR Director will develop and manage an integrated marketing strategy designed to generate media interest, increase Los Angeles Ballet’s audience base, attract supporters, and connect with the Los Angeles community.
The successful candidate will have outstanding written and verbal communications skills, be proficient in dealing with the public, solve problems creatively, be deadline-driven, and possess a general knowledge of the local arts and cultural community. This position reports to the Executive Director.
Minimum 2-3 years of marketing and/or PR experience. Dance or other performing arts marketing background preferred. Familiarity with Los Angeles audiences strongly desired. Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate a consistent track record of success in audience development and revenue generation.

Salary is $40,000 annually, and health insurance is provided.
The PR/Marketing Director will primarily work at our West Los Angeles office (11755 Exposition Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90064) but must have access to reliable transportation, as Los Angeles Ballet performs throughout Los Angeles County.

Founded in 2004 by Artistic Directors Thordal Christensen and Colleen Neary and Executive Director Julie Whittaker, Los Angeles Ballet is now in its 9th Season. Known for its superb stagings of the Balanchine repertory, stylistically meticulous classical ballets and its commitment to new works, LAB has become recognized as a world-class ballet company. At the end of Season 8 LAB presented 24 productions encompassing 50 works, including 15 commissioned world premieres. Los Angeles Ballet ‘tours’ throughout LA County, regularly appearing at five venues.
