ACTING INTERNSHIPS at a noise within

Learn what it takes to be part of a professional classical theatre company, performing three productions in rotating repertory! Acting Interns are challenged to apply their talents in all areas, analyzing and performing classical theatre while gaining hands-on knowledge of the technical process.

$550.00 for 12 weeks of Conservatory Classes. Housing is not provided.

Each acting intern is cast in an ensemble role in one or more plays during the repertory season. Interns may also be given understudy assignments.

Interns are immersed in 120 + hours of training designed to develop the whole artist. Course topics include: acting Shakespeare, speech, textual analysis & scansion, a scene study course that culminates in a workshop presentation for an invited audience.

Interns gain hands-on experience in a variety of technical departments (stage management, props, costumes, sets, lights, sound) and are a part of the crew that facilitates the repertory schedule.

Interns must be available for classes, rehearsals, performances and technical calls during the following hours: Monday – Friday 4-11pm and Saturdays/Sundays (Day/Evening – depending on the rep schedule and intern assignment). Additionally, interns must be available to perform a limited number of mid-week matinees as scheduled.

To request an audition appointment, please fill out the online application and email your photo & resume to our Education Dept at [email protected]. Auditions are two contrasting monologues, one of which must be Shakespeare, not to exceed three minutes total. Applications must be received no later than July 25, 2015. Auditions and call backs will be held the first week of August.
