Program Administrative Assistant
The Citywide Mural Program seeks an Administrative Assistant to oversee the daily activities of the restoration of approximately 8 murals across the City of Los Angeles for a longstanding notforprofit organization. The program is estimated to last 9 months. The program startup date is July 1, 2015. The program requires a 30 hours/week commitment paid at $12.00/hr, with room for growth. We are seeking a committed, hardworking individual with a general experience in assisting in office settings. Art management a plus. We are looking for motivated individuals to play a supportive role in the revitalization of historically important community artworks.
Program Administrative AssistantThe Administrative Assistant: enhances Program Coordinator’s effectiveness by providing management support, scheduling, work plan development, information gathering for reporting and program tracking; assists in fulfilling program objectives by providing artbased digital media support and PR/social media support.
Program Administrative Assistant Job Duties
-Produces information by formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.
-Develops information by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting press releases, reports, letters and documents, and social media campaigns; collecting and analyzing program performance and collects and organizes program documentation.
-Plans and coordinates meetings, conferences, and phone conferences.
-Maintains client relations and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
-Completes projects by executing work and delegating tasks to support staff, students, interns, etc.; follows up on results.
-Provides historical reference by developing and utilizing filing and retrieval systems for each mural site; files and organizes digital media documentation, including video and photography.
-Produces artbased digital media support for mural image references, such as illustrator templates, descriptions, pounce transfers, organizing and printing mural references.
-Oversees Digital Media supplies and keeps inventory of stock.
-Occasional mural site support.
-Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops and reviewing publications; demonstrates willingness to learn to operate printers, plotters, and provide digital media support.
-Contributes to team vitality by enhancing SPARC’s diverse ecology. Upholds organizational reputation by supporting the pursuit of social justice outcomes and explores opportunities to expand program achievements, and client services.
