VANS Custom Culture Grant Program: $2,000 Grants for High School Visual Arts & Music

Vans and Americans for the Arts envision a country where every child has access to - and participates in - high quality learning experiences in the arts.  With that in mind, these two organizations partnered up to create the Custom Culture Grant Program to support arts education in high schools around the country.  These grants are intended to both encourage the inclusion of the arts as an integral component of an excellent education and to support schools activities that strive to meet local and national learning standards for arts education.  Despite cuts and shrinking budgets, there are many schools around the country where arts education thrives in their learning community. We want to honor and support these schools, teachers, and students by providing them with the opportunity to win a $2,000 grant!

Know a school that deserve to win? The VANS Custom Culture Grants are available to all public high schools (and charter schools) who serve grades 9-12 and who demonstrate a commitment to arts education for their students.  Schools must submit an application online <http://www.artsusa.org/vans/grants>  to be considered.  Ten (10) winning schools will each receive a $2,000 grant to support their music and/or visual arts programs. Schools can submit their application for this grant program from October 15, 2014 until November 26, 2015.

Ø  For full guidelines and the grant application, please visit the VANS Custom Culture Grant Program <http://www.artsusa.org/vans/grants>  site (www.artsusa.org/vans/grants).
