Request for Artist Proposals - South Pasadena Box Art Project

The South Pasadena Arts Council (SPARC) and the City of South Pasadena invites artists to submit a proposal to create artwork for 10 of the City’s traffic signal boxes as part of the Box Art Project. This project is designed to support public art programs, will enhance the Downtown Business District, and been seen and appreciated by our residents, business owners and visitors to the City.

The project would enhance the visual environment of the community, promote interest in art, and extend public art to the community in a creative way.

SPARC will select artists to create artwork on the traffic signal boxes on 10 locations throughout the downtown area of South Pasadena.

An honorarium of $750 will be paid to the selected artists or artist teams.  The deadline for submissions is Friday, July 24th, 2015.
