The City of Manhattan Beach is now accepting applications for the position of part-time Senior Recreation Leader II with the Parks and Recreation Department.
POSITION INFORMATION: We currently have two (2) vacancies for the position of part-time Senior Recreation Leader II. The vacancies are with the Cultural Arts Division.
The vacancy with our Cultural Arts Division will require experience in ceramic arts, visual arts, pottery making techniques, developing and teaching youth art education, using and firing of electric kilns, knowledge of glaze science and firing techniques, and all other commonly used supplies/equipment in ceramic/visual arts studio. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with league participants, officials and members of the general public.
HOURS: This part–time position will work up to 32 hours. Will be required to work shifts, weekends, and/or holidays
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: An Associates degree in recreation and leisure services, human services, or a related field.
Training and Experience: Four (4) years of paid experience in planning, organizing, and conducting recreational programs which include supervising, budgeting, report writing, marketing, and training. Experience is evaluated on a full-time basis for years.
License: A valid California Class “C” drivers license and acceptable driving record is required.
