Studio Manager
Internationally recognized artist’s studio located in Venice, CA seeks experienced person for administration, marketing, and graphics. Candidate absolutely must know Adobe CS suite and possess strong writing skills. Art/Architecture background is highly desirable.
Responsibilities are for the day–to-day operations of the studio including office administration and policies, client communication and marketing, overall project management and staff supervision, and representing the studio to its various internal and external constituencies. You will also participate in a mentoring relationship with studio business and marketing consultants. Studio Manager Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1 Business Development
Define and develop CGS business growth plan
Arrange studio visits, including identifying and inviting prospective clients and collaborators
Create and submit RFQ responses
Create project proposal books, altering and developing more effective graphic formats as necessary
Apply to awards
Coordinate CGS marketing outreach to prospective clients and collaborators
Act as liaison for all press and publications
Maintain consistent PR campaign efforts
Manage gallery work as we develop that practice
Maintain studio print archive and handle print sales, working with consultants
2 Graphic Design and Marketing
Manage and update web content
Manage social network identities (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
Manage generation and distribution of email announcements
Organize professional digital photographs for past and present projects
Create ad layouts as needed for hard print media and web
Maintain CGS brand graphic identity in all print and web media
3 Administration
Identify and write grants as appropriate
Maintain artist’s daily schedule and studio monthly schedule
Schedule meetings, presentations, and travel
Coordinate studio travel arrangements
Manage office equipment, supplies, postage, fed ex, shipments and couriers
Maintain CGS and fabricators insurance certificates
Maintain Copyright with US Copyright Office
Maintain other office contracts, insurance and policies
Reconcile office receipts for supplies, travel, and project material purchases
Support outside planning and communications for projects, proposals, consultants, and potential clients
Coordinate credit card statements and office receipts with bookkeeper
Organize work schedules to invoice client projects on schedule
4 Project Management
Coordinate and finalize individual project completion timelines
Coordinate with CGS fabricators on progress reports toward fabrication completion
Maintain studio project schedule
Oversee project(s) design, fabrication, and material elements
Monitor individual project budgets and promptly identify cost/time variances
Maintain proposal responses within studio design time availability
Identify and follow up on research project opportunities
Prepare conservation reports as required
