Rogue Artists Ensemble seeking Technical Director
The Los Angeles art-collective Rogue Artists Ensemble is seeking a TECHNICAL DIRECTOR to start work immediately on their production of Wood Boy Dog Fish based on Carlo Collodi’s book The Adventures of Pinocchio opening at the Bootleg Theater on Friday, November 13th, 2015.

Rogue Artists Ensemble's Wood Boy Dog Fish is a world-premiere hyper-theatrical performance event written award-winning playwright Chelsea Sutton with Rogue Artists Ensemble. Inspired by Carlo Collodi’s book The Adventures of Pinocchio, the Rogues’ Wood Boy Dog Fish creates an adult-minded, surreal retelling of this tale of lust, desire, death, birth, madness and ultimately, hope. Wood Boy Dog Fish a lively musical score, highly physical performances incorporating masks, visual effects and multiple styles of puppetry.

Rehearsals begin Saturday, September 12th with evening rehearsals Monday – Thursday, and daytime rehearsals one weekend day per week, until tech begins on Friday, October 30th. Preview performances take place November 6 - 8th. The show opens Friday, November 13th with performances on Friday – Sunday evenings, and closes on Sunday, December 20th.

Technical Director:

Responsible for organizing and building scenic elements for the production.
Assists with tracking expenses for scenic elements.
Works closely with the project’s directors, designers and stage manager to aid in the creation of the project.
Works with designer to plan for rigging of projectors, speakers, and other technical elements.
Experience with technology driven performances, scenic construction techniques and knowledge of alternative art forms is desirable.
Leads load-in and strike of show.
Must have car and flexible schedule.

A flat fee of $1,000 is offered in addition to a separate materials budget. There is also an additional fee set aside to bring a painter on.
