The Landing
Los Angeles, CA
The Landing, a fine art gallery specializing in both historically significant 20th century postwar works—with an emphasis on those made in California—and works by contemporary artists, is seeking a new director. The gallery maintains a program of solo, two-person, and thematic group exhibitions at its 2800-square foot space in Los Angeles.
The Landing’s future director will work closely with the gallery’s owner to curate all exhibitions, will expand the gallery’s roster of represented artists, will further develop the gallery’s list of clients, will maintain and expand the gallery’s art fair schedule (which will include traveling to FOG in San Francisco and NADA in New York and Miami), and will co-host dinners and events, among other duties. The ideal candidate is well-versed in 20th century postwar Californian art, architecture and design, and is knowledgeable about both established and emerging contemporary artists.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience working at an art gallery or as a museum curator. This candidate will hold at least a B.A. or B.F.A., preferably in Art or Art History.
