Grants Manager

Reporting to the Director of Development, the Grants Manager composes all foundation, corporate, and government grant applications and reporting to raise critical funds for Fowler Museum exhibitions, education programs, general operating support, conservation, and special projects. He/she researches potential grant funding sources; works with internal museum staff to understand fundraising needs; builds relationships with foundation program officers; develops and maintains a grants pipeline; tracks deadlines; manages grant agreements and acknowledgements; and works with finance staff to manage how funds are expended. This position helps develop annual goal projections and performs annual metrics. In addition, the Manager drafts endowment status reports and helps with the creation of exhibition fundraising proposals. He/she is also responsible for maintaining files and database entry. This is a perfect opportunity for a candidate with at least 3 years of grants experience who thinks creatively and strategically, is an excellent writer, proven fundraiser, and has the expertise to grow a department in a momentous time for the Museum.
