DESCRIPTION

Lyn Winter, Inc. is a Los Angeles-based arts and culture communications and advisory firm specializing in contemporary art, design, architecture, fashion and luxury. The agency represents museums, foundations, galleries, artists designers, architecture firms and luxury and lifestyle brands involved in contemporary culture.

 

INTERNSHIP

Lyn Winter, Inc. in Los Angeles is currently recruiting for a highly motivated, creative and savvy part-time intern.

 

Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communications skills both in person and over the phone, graphic design skills, social media fluency, have the ability to conduct extensive research and meet deadlines, and feel confident and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

 

EXPERIENCE

Daily tasks, under the supervision of the firm’s team members, will include tracking press coverage, maintaining and updating company website and databases, tracking media and event related responses, assisting with writing, social media postings, select media pitches, the preparation of presentations, completing graphic design assignments, scheduling and administrative tasks, and supporting in the organization of special events and programs. Applicants should be hard working with a meticulous eye for detail, will be required to respond to incoming email requests and calls in a timely manner and should have a passion and understanding for the contemporary visual arts and culture. 

 

REQUIREMENTS

Recent college graduate and/or Masters student specializing in communications, public relations and/or art history. 

Prior experience in public relations, or the communications department of a visual arts or cultural organization is preferred. 

Strong verbal and written communication skills. 

Ability to carefully follow instructions and collaborate in a team environment, but also to work well independently.

Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workflow. 

Social Media proficiency.

Graphic design skills

Fluency with Mac platforms, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign.

Comfortable and confident interacting over the phone.

Show initiative and self-motivation.

 

COMMITMENT

The internship role will serve as an insightful and beneficial entry into the world of arts and culture PR and communications and will require a commitment of at least three months for minimum three days a week. Hours are 9AM–6PM

 

Compensation: This is a paid internship.
