About FriendsWithYou

FriendsWithYou is the fine art collaborative of Samuel Borkson and Arturo Sandovall III, working collectively since 2002 with the sole purpose of spreading the positive message of Magic, Luck and Friendship. As artists working in a variety of mediums including painting, sculpture, large-scale experiential installations, live performances, and more recently, virtual reality and animation, FriendsWithYou's mission is to affect world culture by cultivating special moments of spiritual awareness and powerful, joyous interaction.

FriendsWithYou’s work has been exhibited at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo; Art Basel in Miami Beach; Dallas Contemporary; Galerie Perrotin, Miami; Haus der Kulturen der Welt, Berlin; The High Line, New York; The Indianapolis Museum of Art; Marine Projects, Los Angeles; Museum of Contemporary Art Santa Barbara; The Santa Monica Pier, Los Angeles; and most recently at The Oakland Museum of California.

FriendsWithYou works are in the permanent collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art North Miami, The Goldman Family Collection, Montblanc Collection, amongst others.

FriendsWithYou released their RIzzoli published monograph "We Are FriendsWIthYou" in May 2014. The book spans their career and features contributions by musician, producer and long-time FWY collaborator Pharrell Williams, director, film maker, and spiritual guru Alejandro Jodorowsky, and Dallas Contemporary museum director Peter Dorshenko.

FriendsWithYou actively works to spread the message of connectivity around the world, with a simple mission to become Friends-With-You.

Internship Opportunities

FriendsWithYou internships offer an amazing opportunity to develop professional experience within our exciting and fast-paced universe. We offer a series of different internships within the creative and business aspects that make up FriendsWithYou.

Please read all of the guidelines below to find out more about internship requirements and the application process.

 

Internship Guidelines

• Internships are paid minimum wage and are applicable for college credits

• Internships require a minimum commitment of 3 months, 14 hours a week, and dedication to a set schedule.

• Internships require a personal laptop computer along with the software needed for your field of work.

• Internships take place at our headquarters in Downtown, Los Angeles.

• FriendsWithYou does not cover any travel, housing, transportation, or living expenses.

• FriendsWithYou internships do not imply full-time employment.

 

Who we are looking for:

• We are looking for 1-2 superstar interns to work closely with our small team. They should be extremely organized, punctual, thorough, and passionate about their work.

• This person should have an entrepreneurial spirit with a managerial mindset, who understands that when running a company everything needs to get done. There are no tasks too big or too small for any member of our team to work on.

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office, most importantly Excel and Word.

• Personal laptop with Microsoft Office software

• College level experience

Creative Internship Requirements

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Software

• Personal computer with Adobe Creative Suite Software

• College level experience

• Ideally strong drawing skills
