Blue13 Dance Company is an American dance theatre ensemble based in Los Angeles, with a mission to drive a shift in the perception and practice of American dance through performance, outreach, and education. For over 20 years, Blue13 has connected audiences through the power of live dance, performing in the U.S. and abroad in its highly energetic style inspired in part by the classical and cultural art forms of the Indian subcontinent.

Working with Blue13 means to center Global Majority artists as the important and exciting voices and movers of our generation.
Blue13 seeks to hire an experienced and creative professional to oversee the organization’s online presence, digital marketing campaigns, and graphics. The position includes day-to-day management of Blue13’s online presence. The Digital Content manager will work closely with the team to lead successful social media content campaigns, email newsletters, and keep Blue13 connected with our online community.
The successful candidate will have the knowledge of graphic design, social media content strategies, e-newsletter campaign strategies, and web design. The Digital Content Manager is expected to participate in weekly organizational meetings via Zoom. They should also be available to take photos and videos at rehearsals, performances, and events on a regular basis. Additional hours will be paid for those commitments. Occasional absences are acceptable with prior planning.
The Digital Content Manager will report to the Artistic Director and the Company Manager. This is a Part-Time position (5-7 hours per week, up to 12 hours per week during large performances/events) at $20/hr. Hours could increase, as needed and approved by the Artistic Director and Company Manager.
Create and curate social media content and captions
Send biweekly email newsletters (Neon)
Coordinate cross-promotions with other organizations for email and social media
Coordinate artist takeovers for social media
Keep Blue13’s linktr.ee up-to-date
Manage and update info on the website (WordPress)
Manage and update the schedule on the class registration form (Neon)
Design graphics for print and digital use as needed
Design promotional video material as needed
Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign)
Video editing experience (Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or comparable software)
Experience with digital marketing strategies
Experience with non-profit/performing arts organizations
Knowledge of social media content strategies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience working with a diverse group of individuals in an inclusive and equitable manner
Proximity to central/northeast LA with a flexible schedule
Creative, adaptable, highly organized and able to work independently
