Operations & Systems Strategist

The Operations & Systems Strategist is a member of the Operations Team and works closely with the Executive Director and the Leadership Team of Young Storytellers. The Operations & Systems Strategist is accountable for designing and ensuring systems alignment across teams and functions within Young Storytellers. They will work directly with the Database & Technical Specialist to ensure data systems and integrity across the organization. This person builds out systems and procedures that promote inclusive and sustainable office practices when planning team events, coordinating a hiring cycle, ordering company merchandise, etc. The Operations & Systems Strategist supports — and plays an integral role in implementing equity in — recruitment, hiring, and onboarding for all new staff members and interns in partnership with our HR Consultant. The Operations & Systems Strategist is also responsible for ensuring that the Young Storytellers office is fully functional and in the best shape possible for our hard-working staff, interns, and volunteers. The Operations & Systems Strategist provides operational support for the Direct Service and Scale Teams including managing program materials inventory, ordering, and timelines. Finally, the Operations & Systems Strategist holds a key role in financial management including partnership with the Young Storytellers Bookkeeper to pay bills, process reimbursements, and manage donation tracking.
