Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive individual to fill the role of Studio Manager. The Studio Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our creative studio, ensuring its smooth functioning and providing a conducive environment for artists and creative professionals to thrive. This role involves managing administrative tasks, coordinating schedules, maintaining studio resources, and fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
Studio Operations:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the studio, including scheduling, maintenance, and coordination of activities.
- Ensure that the studio is well-equipped and ready for use by artists and clients.
Resource Management:
- Manage studio resources, including equipment, supplies, and facilities.
- Ensure that equipment is properly maintained, and supplies are stocked to meet the needs of artists and projects.
Scheduling and Bookings:
- Coordinate studio bookings and reservations, working closely with clients and artists to ensure a smooth scheduling process.
- Manage calendars, allocate studio spaces, and communicate scheduling details effectively.
Client Communication:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and artists
- Addressing inquiries
- Providing information
- Ensuring that their needs and preferences are met during their studio experience.
Team Coordination:
- Supervise and provide guidance to studio staff, including technicians, assistants, and interns.
- Delegate tasks, offer training, and foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Budget and Finance:
- Assist in budget management by tracking expenses, processing invoices.
- Maintaining financial records related to studio operations.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure that the studio adheres to safety regulations and protocols.
- Implement health and safety measures to guarantee a secure environment for staff, clients, and artists.
Event Coordination:
- Collaborate with event organizers and artists to plan and execute studio events, exhibitions, workshops, and other activities.
Administrative Tasks:
- Handle administrative duties, such as maintaining records, creating reports, and managing studio-related documentation.
Continuous Improvement:
- Gather feedback from clients, artists, and staff to identify areas for improvement.
- Propose and implement changes to enhance the studio’s operations and customer experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in arts administration, business management, or a related field.
- Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in using office software and scheduling tools.
- Knowledge of creative processes and studio equipment is a plus.
- Leadership experience or previous management roles preferred.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
