Lead Teaching Artist: Photography

Venice Arts seeks a part-time Lead Photographer to teach in its award-winning Art Mentoring and Education Program, with an assignment of three-to-four academic year classes and one Summer Media Arts Camp class. While teaching will largely be in-person, remote teaching may be required. 

Primary responsibilities include syllabi planning, teaching at the beginning-to-advanced levels, and coordinating the efforts of the teaching team. 

Experience with a highly experiential, child-centered approach to arts education, preferred. 

Prior teaching experience required; experience with both middle- and high-school aged youth a strong plus.

Photographer with experience in documentary, photojournalism, and/or street photographer preferred. A complete description of the position and qualifications, here.
