Patron Services team members are the front line ambassadors for the Broad Stage using best practices in customer service and sales. They provide patrons with the best experience while adhering to theater and organizational policies and procedures. We are currently at a high-point in our season and are looking to bring on someone with ticketing experience to help with day-to-day operations and short-term planning and we prepare for next season’s on sale. While we are focusing on a 2- 3 month employment to address current projects, this is an open position and may lead to a regular position with The Broad Stage.

Primary responsibilities:

Supervision of Patron Services

  • Oversee daily operations of Patron Services and for the box office
  • Review the events in Patron Edge and Patron Edge Online for availability on the website
  • Process payments, accepting cash, check or credit card. Ensure control of monies received at all times
  • Conduct ticket sales using Patron’s Edge ticketing software over-the-phone, online, and in-person
  • Reinforce or develop procedures for executing workflow effectively and efficiently
  • Provide in-person support at performances
  • Assist with scheduling , supervision, and support of staff

Sales Reporting & Database Management

  • Run daily reports for the Finance, Development, Marketing, and related departments
  • Serve as the key administrator for Patron Edge and Patron Edge Online
  • Reconcile EOD and credit card processing on a daily basis
  • Identify and resolve missing transactions from PE/PEO

Minimum requirements:

  • Experience working in direct contact with the general public
  • Ability to communicate well and follow instructions both orally and in writing.
  • Excellent and clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot
  • Takes initiative; can work well independently
  • Six months or more of hands-on live theater box office experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Computer proficiency in Excel and Word
