Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Coordinator professionally and efficiently coordinates LACMA’s communications to existing and future guests, including a robust schedule of email campaigns, ongoing on-campus communications in a wide range of media, outreach and community relations, and intra-museum relations.
Some duties include: coordinates marketing initiatives that drive attendance to LACMA’s exhibitions and programs; strategizes and executes e-mail marketing communications with constituents; produces and distributes analytics and recommendation reports based on e-mail marketing campaigns, research initiatives, attendance and marketing ROI; assists with developing, finalizing and trafficking marketing, advertising and print production projects; interfaces with media partners regarding files, specs, production issues and scheduling; plans and executes outreach initiatives to schools, cultural institutions, and other partners.
The qualified candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, and at least two years of experience working in a marketing setting. Excellent Microsoft Office, Excel and PC skills are required; working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, is preferred; and experience working with third-party vendors to execute projects under tight deadlines is key. Experience with MailChimp, Tessitura, and Blackbaud is also preferred, as well as fluency in Spanish.
