Pacific Resident Theatre is Venice, California’s premiere ensemble theatre located in the heart of the thriving arts district. Founded by actors 30 years ago, PRT remains dedicated to its mission to produce classics, rarely performed plays, and new works by contemporary playwrights.
Hours: 15 hrs./wk.
Rate of Pay: $20/hr.
Reports (is accountable) to: Artistic Director and Administrative Manager
Position Summary: PRT seeks a media professional skilled in writing and graphic design, who can develop and manage an integrated marketing plan for the theatre as a whole and for individual productions.
Passion for theatre and the performing arts, especially in Los Angeles.
Creative marketer who continually develops new ways to improve PRT’s visibility in the community and larger LA (and national) theater world.
Skilled graphic designer who can work closely with the Artistic Director to convey the essence of the theatre, as a whole and of individual productions, online and in print.
Skilled copywriter/editor of online and print content.
Social media savvy
Fluent with PC and/or MAC operating systems, Adobe Suite (PhotoShop, InDesign, etc.), Microsoft Office Suite, and Outlook or related email platform. Familiarity with iContact or similar email software.
Familiarity with group sales and group sales techniques a plus.
Web design skills a plus (will be trained on basic WordPress editing).
Work creatively with Artistic Director and publicist to promote shows.
