A Noise Within in Pasadena performs and promotes classical theatre as an essential means for our community to confront the universal human experience, expand personal awareness, and challenge individual perspectives. We seek a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to join our ambitious and growing organization. This staff position works directly with the Marketing Director and other marketing staff to generate and grow audiences for ANW, share ANW’s mission and vision with the broadest possible audience, steward connections with our existing ticket buyers and pass holders, promote the value of live theatre among new audiences, and build on crucial community relationships. This position will provide an opportunity to share the mission of ANW and contribute to the organization as a central member of the marketing team, maintaining and growing audiences in a lively and collaborative environment.


  • Assist in executing the overall strategy for the marketing department as set by the Marketing Director
  • Manage email and social media marketing campaigns and calendar partner trades for each platform
  • Develop organic messaging for the company’s social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Create copy for marketing and communications collateral, including show information, blog posts, and PR materials
  • Track department spending and ensure its alignment with the current marketing budget
  • Serve as project manager for various marketing and advertising initiatives, maintaining deadlines and budgets while seeing each project to full execution
  • Create, manage, and maintain marketing and sales reports
  • Analyze and optimize the performance of social media channels, and adapt to changes within the platforms
  • Implement the season membership and renewal campaigns as developed with the Marketing Director
  • Manage the creation of the production playbill gathering bios, headshots, and content from the staff for the graphic designer, and ensure the pieces makes it to print by the deadline
  • Maintain ticketing, patron email, and patron/donor database
  • Work with marketing team to build assets and provide creative for digital and print marketing campaigns, email campaigns, and communications material
  • Create and maintain segmented lists for targeted marketing efforts
  • Assist in design and layout of marketing materials
  • Oversee lobby presentation and displays
  • Update website content
  • Assist in digital marketing efforts
  • Manage marketing interns
  • Act as a liaison with vendors
  • Provide event support as needed



  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Degree in marketing, communications, English, or theatre and/or Master’s degree a plus
  • Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • 2 Years professional marketing experience with evidence of managing and implementing a strategic marketing plan with multiple activities and specific goals—theatre and/or arts related marketing experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, email marketing systems, and CRM platform(s) preferred
  • Excellent writing and communications skills, including public speaking


Salary of $40,000-48,000 annually commensurate with experience, health benefits and savings plan matching included.
