MUSE/IQUE proudly announces the availability of a full-time Membership Manager position. The Membership Manager is the primary representative of MUSE/IQUE’s membership program and must enjoy working with the public. MUSE/IQUE believes that music is oxygen for the imagination. We view membership as an alternative to ticket sales. The Membership Manager is responsible for overseeing the entirety of the membership program; including reporting and analysis, data management, creative strategies for membership efforts, and dealing directly with members and handling of guest relations.

Membership program management:

Evaluates effectiveness of current membership program services, benefits, and policies relating to retention and acquisition of members on a regular basis.
Recommends, designs, and implements changes to improve effectiveness and efficiency for moves management for membership.

Membership stewardship and cultivation:

Serves as key representative of membership program on a daily basis and at all membership events, including all live events and members-only events.
In cooperation with the EVP, leads stewardship, cultivation and engagement of organizing events and partnerships.
Collaborates with the rest of the development team to upgrade and identify general members to higher levels of annual giving.
Provides excellent customer service in person, by phone, and by email to potential members, established members, and members’ guests.
Assists with gift and acknowledgements processes when volume of gift requires it.

Reporting and data analysis:

Generates reports to measure results of membership campaigns, and overall membership retention and growth.
Monitors progress towards revenue goal and number of new memberships and provides reports for senior management.
Works with EVP to prepare and monitor membership revenue and expense budgets.

Data Management:

Develops, promotes, and documents best practices and policies associated with member, donor, and prospect management.
Maintains security, accuracy, and integrity of database as it pertains to members.

Marketing and Communications:

Works with Marketing & Communications team to implement promotions, partnerships, and communications that promote membership experiences and enhance visitor conversion from trial to full member status.

Partners with the Marketing & Communications team to create membership collateral, to support MUSE/IQUE’s on-line presence for members via social media (from the membership perspective), and to update membership pages on the website.

Qualifications:

2-3 years experience in a membership position preferred.
Non-profit /music-oriented, public radio, or museum experience highly desirable.
Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of professionalism.
Ability to accomplish projects independently.
Excellent communication skills in person, over the phone, and by email.
Experience with CRM databases like Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge or Altru a bonus.

This is a full-time, benefit-eligible exempt position. MUSE/IQUE is currently working a hybrid schedule with three in-person days a week in Pasadena. Schedule will include some nights and weekends.

Current and complete COVID-19 vaccination, with booster, is required and a condition of employment.
