#ArtsDayLA T-shirt Design Competition Open until March 16; Winner Gets $500
Arts for LA invites submissions of a visual design and a “tagline” to be screenprinted on the front of 500 limited edition t-shirts, which will be worn by arts advocates attending ArtsDay 2014.
The design should capture the essence of ArtsDay’s primary message, that Los Angeles is “where creativity thrives” while incorporating the artist’s unique vision and approach. It must also include the phrase “Creative Capital” somewhere in the design.
The creator of the winning design will receive an honorarium of $500, to be paid in one lump sum upon receipt of the final version of the selected design.
Through this competition, Arts for LA will continue its public awareness campaign focusing on LA’s unique identity as a “creative capital” where artists, entrepreneurs, and innovators live and work.
The “creative capital” leverages three of LA’s core assets: a complete education that includes the arts, a strong economy of creative businesses and artists, and vibrant democracy buoyed by service by artists, arts leaders, and creative entrepreneurs.
This competition is open to all artists and designers who live or work in the City of Los Angeles, excluding staff and board of Arts for LA and their immediate family members. Read the full RFP!
