Ask LA Candidates About Arts & Culture!

Tue, 01/18/2011 (All day)

Los Angeles City HallToday, ask your local candidates about arts & culture in LA.  Choose a question below (or write your own!) and click here to submit your question via LA Times’ LA Now blog.

1. What was the most meaningful arts and cultural experience you had growing up?
2. What do you believe the role of City Council should be in the development and support of the region's cultural infrastructure?
3. How would you champion modifications to, or expansion of the City's current funding stream for local arts and culture?
4. What three things would you do to deepen the City's investment in its creative economy (cultural tourism, in-direct and direct jobs, nonprofit and for profit)?

These four questions comprise Arts for LA’s Candidate Survey, sent to everyone running for office in Los Angeles County.  Candidates' responses will be posted on our website before the election.

Arts for LA encourages advocates to take the opportunity to engage those running for office in the upcoming election.  Submit your question and let the candidates know you care about arts and culture in our region.
