Congratulations to the residents of the City of Santa Monica for the passage of measures Y and YY. Measure Y will bring $12 million dollars annually to the City’s general fund. Measure YY stipulates that half of the money received from measure Y will go to Santa Monica- Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD).

The passage of the measure has the potential to sustain arts education programs and infrastructure in SMMUSD, the primary objectives of the SMMUSD Arts Education Advocacy Team. The team supported the measures by phone banking and reaching out to other arts supporters.
