Register to Vote by 2/19 for Spring Elections

Photo: Vote stampsLos Angeles residents have until February 19 to initiate or update their voter registration with the State of California’s Secretary of State. Voter registration is now available online for residents holding a California driver’s license or identification card and a Social Security number.

Voters preferring to cast a ballot by mail can apply a ballot by February 26. The Los Angeles primary election will be held on March 5. Election polls in the City of Los Angeles will be open from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.; for information on where to vote, visit the Registarar-Recorder/County Clerk’s website

The general municipal election, often called the “run off” election, will be held May 21. Voters who miss the primary can register to vote by May 6 for the general municipal election. Vote by mail requests must be received by April 22.
