Advocacy Team (if applicable):

Members of the creative Los Angeles Bringing Back Broadway Initiativecommunity are invited to complete surveys that will help to shape the development of mixed-use creative facilities in downtown Los Angeles.  Results will help the partners garner support for the project and secure funding.  In addition, your responses will influence the project's location, size, number, and type of creative spaces/facilities, design features, amenities, programs and affordability. Arts for LA has been asked to share information about the project; details follow from the official press release.

The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs (DCA) has partnered with Bringing Back Broadway, the Community Redevelopment Agency of the City of Los Angeles (CRA/LA), the City Planning Department Urban Design Studio, the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), California Institute of the Arts (CalArts), Actors Fund Housing Development Corporation and Artspace Projects to explore new, affordable, mixed-use creative facilities in downtown Los Angeles. The project is called The Broadway Arts Center (BAC).

Two surveys that will help the team understand the space needs of the creative community in the Los Angeles region are underway. One survey is for individuals and one survey is for organizations/businesses.

The surveys will be available until October 10th, 2011, so please don't miss you chance to be heard!

Your input is critical. The results will help build support for the project and secure funding.  In addition, your responses will influence the project’s location(s), the number of creative living and non-residential spaces to include, design features, amenities, programs, and affordability.
