Security Officer    

Classification: Full-time, non-exempt

Responsible for safeguarding the Museum's collections, temporary exhibitions, property, employees, and visitors through highly proactive, appropriately preemptive, and immediately responsive action. Inspects and patrols all Museum spaces on foot, including onsite and offsite event and program spaces; monitors and operates computerized alarm, access, and closed circuit television systems; watches for, reports, and addresses potential security and safety hazards and problems; checks entrances and exits; and performs dispatch duties. Maintains and files security logs and reports, and performs other Security duties as assigned by Supervisors and management.

Senior Manager, Human Resources      

Classification: Full-time, exempt

Date Available: Immediately

The Senior Manager, Human Resources (HR) serves as a resource for approximately 300 full-time, part-time, and student employees at the Hammer Museum. The incumbent ensures Museum compliance with state and federal employment laws, Museum policies, and University personnel policies, procedures, and union labor agreements. The position delivers a comprehensive human resources program, including but not limited to recruitment, compensation, organizational planning and structure, staff development, retention, leaves of absence, employee and labor relations, benefits administration, performance management, discipline, separation and training and development.

The Senior Manager, Human Resources works in consultation with the Director, Finance and HR and serves as an internal consultant and coach to all levels of Hammer staff on personnel issues. The Senior Manager, HR helps to foster a workplace environment consistent with the Museum's values and mission statement and ensures proper execution of all human resource activities and initiatives. This position will collaborate on long range plans and organizational development and on labor budget reporting, payroll transactions, and other fiscal activities.

Accounting Manager     

Classification: Full-time, exempt

Date Available: Immediately

The Accounting Manager manages the Hammer Museum's day-to-day accounting functions and month-end closing process, including all required journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation. Incumbent reports to the Director, Finance and HR and assists in the annual preparation and regular oversight of the Museum's $25 million budget; provides guidance and oversight for accurate recording of the Museum's financial transactions; manages a variety of funds including general funds, contracts and grants, gifts and endowments, and sales and service funds; provides financial reporting and tracking of payroll, the Hammer Store, and café operations; provides fiscal guidance to all Museum departments; develops, oversees, and enforces general and Museum-specific finance and accounting policies and procedures; and provides direction, supervision, training and guidance to Finance staff. This position is responsible for overseeing the department's accounts payable activities. Additionally, the incumbent supports the Director, Finance and HR on year-end audit and 990 & 990-T tax return preparation, as well as other special projects.
