CALIFORNIA ART LEADERS INVESTMENTS (CALI) Funding Opportunity for Emerging Arts Leaders in California
The Center for Cultural Innovation (CCI) is pleased to announce the launch of California Art Leaders Investments (CALI). Formerly called the NextGen Arts Grants program, CALI introduces updated eligibility guidelines for emerging arts leaders in California seeking access to opportunities that will increase their professional skills and enable them to exercise their leadership capacity now in preparation for the future.
Since 2009, CCI has provided professional development scholarships to emerging nonprofit art leaders under the NextGen Arts Leadership Initiative with early investment from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation and the James Irvine Foundation. Following the success of this program and encouraging field research, the focus of this work has evolved with the continued support from the Hewlett Foundation. Through CALI, arts administrators in California with less than 10 years of experience in the field may apply for up to $1,000 in grant subsidies to participate in national conferences; attend training workshops; work with consultants/coaches; and/or engage in resume-building activities that showcase one's capacity to lead the arts sector.
Please help us spread the word by forwarding this email to the emerging arts leaders in your organization or network who may be interested in building their leadership capacity. We would greatly appreciate any help that you can give us in promoting this important development in CCI's grant programming for emerging arts professionals.
