Personal/Administrative Assistant

A contemporary art gallery located in Los Angeles is looking for a part-time personal/administrative assistant to the gallery owner. Applicants should be highly organized, detail-oriented and familiar with contemporary art. Excellent writing, communication and interpersonal skills are very important. She or he must have the ability to multi-task while paying attention to detail. The personal/executive assistant will be involved in the daily activities of the gallery as well as handling personal affairs for the owner of the gallery.


Duties include but are not limited to:

- General personal assistant duties as required

- Coordinate appointments, events and meetings

- Organize travel arrangements for owner

- General administrative duties (filing, email correspondence, answering phones)

- Assist gallery staff as needed, including during gallery events/openings


Minimum qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree

+ Fluent in Mac OSX, Microsoft Office & Google Suite

+ Must be flexible, meticulous and enthusiastic

+ Must be comfortable with dogs & dog-related errands



+ 1-2 years of experience working in an assistant role, preferably in an arts organization

+ Experience with Adobe Creative Suite

+ Experience with Art Logic, or any other gallery database system


The position is 3 days/week with the possibility for more hours after a trial period; Saturday availability is required for events.
