JOB SUMMARY:

LAND’s Podcast Producer will be responsible for developing, launching, and post-launch tasks of LAND podcast projects. Tasks include advising on recording equipment, production, and editing of LAND’s podcast, coordinating with the LAND team and podcast guests, generating and editing all language, images, and audio files in a prompt and timely manner. They will work closely with the LAND team to ensure the alignment of the podcast is within LAND’s mission, vision, and programming. Successful candidates will have excellent organizational and written communication skills, familiarity with Pro Tools or similar audio editing software, strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills, an understanding of the podcast media landscape, and an interest in contemporary art.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate and assist with guest, scheduling, and rescheduling appointments
Record, edit, and contribute to the development of the podcast content (video and audio)
Perform audio engineering tasks such as tuning, mixing, and leveling the audio
Perform video and audio editing tasks using audio editing software
Type up, implement feedback and edit approved show notes
Publish to various podcast platforms (Spotify, Google Play, Apple
Podcast App, etc.) while providing a clear description of the episode subjects
Upload podcast to LAND website
Tailor, adapt and edit content for podcast/video/social media
Video and audio editing skills
Organizes workload throughout the day to meet project timelines and deadlines, communicates on progress and challenges
Uses skill and judgment to ensure written or verbal outputs are clear, accurate, grammatical and of appropriate tone
Weekly reporting and meeting with the LAND team

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree
Past podcast production experience is highly preferred
Past experience in radio production (a plus!)
Minimum of 1-2 years of full audio editing experience
Proven experience editing audio files using Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, or similar software

COMPUTER & EQUIPMENT SKILLS:

Contractor is responsible for supplying his/her own computer with Microsoft Office or similar program, software can be provided by LAND
Has good general knowledge of computer operations
Uses Microsoft Word and Excel as well as Internet and email programs proficiently
Experience with database management programs a plus
Proficiency in Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and/or image editing software
Proficiency in Pro Tools and/or similar audio editing software
Comfort working with budgets, spreadsheets, and database
