Part-Time PR and Content Assistant (15-20 hours/week)
Start Date: April 1, 2022
Pay Rate: $20/hour

THIS X THAT, an agency representing progressive architects, is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented part-time PR and Content Assistant. This person will directly support THIS X THAT’s Founders and Content Director, working on press and social media campaigns for the agency’s clients, helping to maintain the agency’s website, and assisting with the agency’s own events and programming.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in pursuing a career in the business or administrative aspects of art, architecture or design; or anyone interested in a career in writing or public relations. There is potential for this position to transition to a full-time salaried PR Assistant role within one years’ time. Students with some work experience are encouraged to apply.

This role will require 15-20 hours per week, of either remote or in person work at our Los Angeles office. 20 hours of in-person training with TXT Founders is required at our outdoor co-working space in Hollywood. The remainder of the work can be done either in person or remote, if desired.

Responsibilities:

● Create and maintain press kits, ensuring that assets are organized, accessible and updated
● Maintain contact lists, mailing lists and invitation lists
● Manage client project files (labeling photos, filing material, requesting material where needed
● Track, report and archive print and digital press coverage of THIS X THAT’s clients
● Post client and company press and news on website
● Maintain and update other areas of website when needed
● Assist with social media content development, posting and storying
● Post client and company updates on LinkedIn
● Design and produce pitch decks and marketing decks, update existing company decks
● Assist with event production and logistics where needed
● Create guests lists, invitations and mailings for events and track RSVPS
● Research and maintain database of architecture awards and competition opportunities, sending periodic emails to TxT clients about opportunities and deadlines
● If previous experience allow, writing of press and profile texts


Qualifications:

● Excellent writing and communications skills
● Some experience in architecture and/or the art world is preferred, an interest in architecture and the arts is required
● Prior experience in an administrative, PR, marketing or sales-related role is preferred (including internships)
● Ability to be proactive and solutions-oriented, even if working independently
● Receptive and able to incorporate feedback into work
● Extremely detail-oriented
● Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Docs required
● Proficiency with Social Media (Instagram, LinkedIn), MailChimp, Adobe Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator); experience with Squarespace and/or web design/development preferred
