Arts for LA is a voice for the arts that informs, engages, and mobilizes individuals and organizations to advocate for increased access to the arts; arts education for every student; robust investment in the arts; and inclusion of diverse voices. Arts for LA invests in leadership development, growing networks of civically engaged advocates, building deep relationships with elected officials, and working in partnership to foster an equitable, healthy, creative Los Angeles county.
Arts for LA seeks a dynamic, driven, and community-minded Program Intern to work as an integral member of the Programs team, assisting in the development of programmatic content, engaging stake-holders and local leaders to participate in Arts for LA’s programs, and analyzing evaluative programmatic data to enhance Arts for LA’s programs. Duties will include assisting with program design, coordinating event logistics, crafting social media messaging, and managing strategic community outreach. The Program Intern will work closely with the Director of Programs and Associate Director of Programs & Evaluation in helping to achieve Arts for LA’s mission to activate artists and organizations, and lead communities to advocate for an equitable, healthy creative Los Angeles.
The Program Intern will work closely with the Director of Programs and Associate Director of Programs & Evaluation during the critical summer months of planning for Arts for LA's 2019-2020 programs, including ACTIVATE and the LA Convergence. Duties will include program design, coordinating event logistics, crafting messages, analyzing evaluative data, and strategic community outreach.

2019 Arts Internship positions will be open to currently enrolled undergraduate (2 or 4-year) college students who reside or attend college in Los Angeles County. Recent graduates may apply as long as they have completed their degree between May 1 - September 1, 2019. Arts for LA encourages eligible students from all ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds, as well as disabled students, to apply. Students who are invited to participate in the program will be asked to provide verification of eligibility via college transcripts, driver’s license and other documents to show enrollment status and/or LA County residence. There are no exceptions to our eligibility requirements.
The Fundraising and Development Intern will be paid $5,700 ($14.25/hour, or $570/week for a 40-hour week) for their 400-hour long internships over the course of 10 weeks.
