Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre (HDDT) is a site-specific dance company that creates innovative dance experiences in non-traditional places and provides learning opportunities in diverse neighborhoods, inviting audiences and artists to engage with one another and connect with their communities in ways they have never experienced.

The Program Management Intern will support the Programs Director in coordinating HDDT's artistic programs and events for the summer, and assist in planning programs for fall 2018. The intern will work largely in coordinating aspects of the summer and fall productions, including preparations for the annual gala in early November. Responsibilities will include planning and execution of company programs and events at HDDT's various performance sites including: the gala, salon series and performance at the Ford Theatre. Organizing and attending production needs, marketing and outreach support, ordering supplies and supply runs, gathering and evaluating performance data for grant reporting, volunteer recruitment and supervision. The intern will also assist with clerical duties related to the artistic programs, database management and box office and front-of-house assistance at programs and events.
- Comfortable communicating with diverse groups of people
- Mac and/or PC proficient
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications
- Design skills a plus (Photoshop, Illustrator etc.)
- Event programming experience preferred but not required

This internship is sponsored by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission. 179 undergraduate interns will participate in the program this year at 127 performing, presenting, and literary nonprofit arts organizations and municipal arts agencies throughout LA County. In addition to their full-time 10 week paid internship, interns will participate in educational events as part of the program, which is funded by the Getty Foundation. The educational events are designed to provide interns with a broader perspective of the vibrant arts and cultural landscape of the County.
