PT Sales for Woodland Hills Home Furnishings, Antiques, and Vintage Shop
Maude Woods, a friendly Pasadena-based purveyor of well-curated gifts, home furnishings, antiques, and vintage goods seeks a Part-Time Salesperson for its ready-to-launch second location in Woodland Hills in the newly updated Valley Country Mart.
You will:
- Assist store manager in daily sales activities.
- Greet customers and provide a warm and helpful environment.
- Help shop visitors find great gifts for others and themselves from in-store and online offerings.
- Be knowledgeable about Maude Woods shop lines and products -- new, special order, vintage, and antique.
- Happily receive new shipments, re-stock and merchandise, tidy and style.
- Ring up in-person and phone sales; interact with a large inventory across two stores.
- Gift wrap with flair and aplomb.
- Help grow a retail and Trade customer base in this new location; reach out to customers around new items and arrivals.
- Provide updates and feedback on shop activites and customer queries to manager and owner.
- Understand and execute daily operations in lieu of manager as needed.
Your Qualifications:
- 1+ years experience in home decor and interiors
- Top-notch communications skills -- verbal, written, and email
- Familiarity with retail POS systems.
You should:
- Enjoy helping people in a store-front environment.
- Be adept at customer service with grace and smart problem-solving skills.
- Be happy on a team, productive when alone in store or with downtime.
- Be able to safely move and manage large items with appropriate equipment or assistance
- Be available to work weekends and establish a part-time schedule with some flexibility
