Christopher Grimes Gallery is seeking a highly motivated, organized and detail-oriented individual to fill the Sales Associate and Media Coordinator position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Sales and Client Relations:
Work in tandem with the director and owner of the gallery to develop sales campaigns and create/coordinate the support materials associated with such campaigns. Organize and maintain up-to-date records of artist activities, acquisitions and reviews for the portfolios, website, binders and sales packets.
Press/Media:
Maintain current and develop new press contacts; distribute press releases; manage online listings for exhibitions. Maintain active and relevant presence on the gallery website as well as all social media sites to bring further awareness to the program.
Administration:
Maintain inventory and artists records, and support the director with everyday tasks at the gallery and during opening receptions.
A qualified candidate should have a B.A. in Art History or related field and a minimum of one-year gallery experience. Working knowledge of ArtBase or other client/inventory management system, Mac proficiency, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign skills are a must. S/he should be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, work well both individually and as part of a team. The gallery is looking for someone who is committed to working with the gallery for an extended period of time.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
