Salesperson for a unique, independent, fine craft retail store - Los Angeles, CA 90048

Hours

Part-time, approximately 14-21 hours per week

Requirements

We are looking for an energetic individual with some retail experience, who is detail-oriented and comfortable wearing many hats throughout the work day. Excellent customer service skills are a must! Our store has a reputation for one-of-a-kind, handmade merchandise and top-of-the-line customer care. This is a unique opportunity for someone interested in fine, American craft. We are known for our jewelry, glass, ceramics, wood, textiles and works on paper.

Duties and skills required

- Work the front desk and point of sale counter

- Engage customers regarding new merchandise and follow up on special orders

- Assist vendors and artists

- Receive new inventory and maintain store displays

- Maintain store website and social media sites with the rest of the staff

- Use PC computer for accurate data entry of new products and inventory database maintenance

- Manage daily email communications including those for special events and openings

Salary

$12/hr
