The Senior Manager, Human Resources (HR) serves as a resource for approximately 300 full-time, part-time, and student employees at the Hammer Museum. The incumbent ensures Museum compliance with state and federal employment laws, Museum policies, and University personnel policies, procedures, and union labor agreements. The position delivers a comprehensive human resources program, including but not limited to recruitment, compensation, organizational planning and structure, staff development, retention, leaves of absence, employee and labor relations, benefits administration, performance management, discipline, separation and training and development.

 

S/he reports to the Director, Finance and HR but works across the Museum. Under the direction of the Director, Finance and HR works closely with managers to ensure proper execution of all human resource activities and initiatives. This position actively collaborates with the Director, Finance and HR on long range plans and organizational development and the Associate Director, Finance and Payroll and Finance Analyst on labor budget reporting, payroll transactions, and other fiscal activities.
