The Specialist for University Audiences develops, implements, and evaluates dynamic initiatives that engage the UCLA community and other adult learners with the Hammer Museum's collections, exhibitions, programs, and resources. This position serves as a liaison between the Museum and UCLA students, identifies opportunities to build and sustain university audiences in innovative and meaningful ways, and mentors future arts professionals.

Under the direction of the Associate Director, Academic Programs, this position manages the UCLA Student Educators, adult and university tours, Hammer Student Association, the Internship Program, and other student-centered initiatives. The Specialist cultivates opportunities for both independent and social learning among UCLA students and fosters their academic and professional growth, creativity, and skills.

The specialist will also contribute to wider Academic Programs department initiatives, including Art + Activism: A Collaborative Learning Project and large-scale family and K-12 student and teacher programs. This role is ideal for an educator with strong youth/university programming, gallery teaching, and mentorship experience.
