MISSION Venice Arts mission is to ignite youths’ imagination, mentor their creativity, and expand their sense of possibility through high quality, accessible media–based arts education programs. Venice Arts also serves as a catalyst for people of all ages, living in low–income or underrepresented communities, to create and share personal and community stories through photography, film, and multi–media. Venice Arts is always interested in receiving résumés from qualified, professional artists interested in designing a syllabus for either our academic year or summer projects. If there are no projects open, we will keep your résumé on file.
Must be a filmmaker with a background and/or experience in documentary storytelling. Minimum 1 year experience teaching young people filmmaking required. Must be available for approximately 3-hours during after–school periods and/or on weekends. Those interested in leading projects during the academic year must be available from September-May. Those interested in summer projects must be available during the month of July.
