Westridge is seeking an enthusiastic Theatre Teacher to join our team of dedicated teaching artists. As a member of the Theatre Department, they will have the opportunity to not only teach classes, direct shows, and inspire our students, but as the Theatre Assistant, they will participate in the production of all Westridge theatre performances. The ideal candidate will have an interest and skill in collaborating with colleagues as well as the willingness to contribute beyond the classroom.
Design and implement curriculum for 7th and 8th grade theater elective courses, as well as the upper school Acting I course
– Direct or co-direct 1-2 after-school theatre productions each year: title selection, pre-production planning, auditions, casting, production meetings, rehearsals, technical rehearsals, and performance
– Assist Production Manager with ticket sales and front of house responsibilities
– Support Production Manager as needed, including but not limited to, recording and distributing meeting notes, script and score duplication, and/or scene and character breakdowns
Salary: $63,000 – $100,000+, annually
