BACKGROUND
Antaeus Theatre Company is an actor-driven theater company that explores and produces timely and timeless works, grounded in our passion for the Classics. We illuminate diverse human experiences through performance, training and outreach. We believe in the transformative power of live theater.
Antaeus is located at the Kiki & David Gindler Performing Arts Center in Downtown Glendale, CA. The center includes an 80-seat theater, a reconfigurable 36-seat black box space, and a theater library.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Associate reports to and collaborates closely with the Senior Associate, the Executive Director, and the Artistic Director to execute Antaeus’s marketing and communications strategy across all channels. This is a hands-on, in-office position responsible for managing the day-to-day rhythm of Antaeus’s public-facing presence, from social media and email campaigns to website maintenance and production marketing. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, creative, and enthusiastic about theater and the role arts organizations play in the community.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Social Media & Email Campaigns
– Manage activity across Antaeus’s social media platforms, including monitoring messages, comments, and tagged posts; responding, reposting, and moderating as appropriate.
– Build and execute a weekly social media plan.
– Record video & take pictures during rehearsals, classes, and events.
– Manage all Mailchimp campaigns, audience segments, tags, suppression lists, contact imports, and annual list cleanup.
Website & CRM
– Perform monthly & quarterly website updates in ArtDynamix to keep all website pages, listings, and information current and accurate.
– Set up and manage new production & academy class pages.
– Assist with pre-production setup in AudienceView, including new show creation and on-sale configuration.
Event Marketing
– Calendar all marketing touchpoints for productions and coordinate all materials, including press, reviews, and production photos.
– Coordinate programs (online and print), including compiling all program information for the designer, and coordinating approvals.
– Manage TRG list uploads and campaigns.
– Create and distribute marketing materials for Antaeus Academy classes, including designs in Canva, eblasts and social posts.
Stewardship Plan
– Calendar and execute all stewardship plan touches by production.
– Design stewardship materials in Canva, including postcards, brochures, business cards, monitoring inventory and reordering as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
– Any combination equivalent to: bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field experience.
– Proficiency in social media platforms.
– Experience with email marketing platforms; Mailchimp experience preferred.
– Strong writing and copyediting skills.
– Proficiency in Canva and Photoshop or similar design tools.
– Experience with CRM platforms preferred.
– Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
– Knowledge of or enthusiasm for theater and the performing arts.
– Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
– A clear and demonstrable commitment to anti-racism and setting tangible goals around EDI values.
– A true collaborator with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Administrative
– Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
– Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule.

Salary: $20, hourly
