A community of passionate arts advocates
We are the regions only unified voice for the arts, and we build and contribute to coalitions working to protect and promote creative career pathways, equitable arts education, arts funding, and affordable spaces for artists and arts organizations.
Arts for LA helped secure over $100 million dollars in relief and recovery funding for regional practitioners and arts and culture organizations, co-sponsored and helped pass the California Creative Workforce Act of 2021 to create living wage jobs for underrepresented workers, and advocated for passage of the Los Angeles County Public Art in Private Development Ordinance, an innovative expansion of existing arts and culture funding that will work towards greater equity across the region.
Civic engagement and arts education advocacy trainings, convenings for the arts and cultural sector, direct education efforts with policymakers, and in-person and online networking activities.
