2020 – 2021: ACTIVATE Innovators

ACTIVATE Innovators was a project incubator designed to support arts leaders as they grow an idea into a fully-planned project. The program offered changemakers the opportunity to learn from field leaders, connect with other cross-sector colleagues, and lead the development of a project or program addressing one of Arts for LA’s four issue areas: affordable space, education equity, creative careers, and equitable funding.

2021 – 2024: ACTIVATE Student Organizing

ACTIVATE Student Organizing was designed to teach high school students throughout Los Angeles county the skills needed to become leading arts advocates in the growing student movement for equitable access to an arts education. In this program, students gained an understanding of the ever-evolving political climate of arts education and learned the skills and tools needed to continue their advocacy efforts.
