Get Involved

Arts for LA is fueled by people like you who believe in the power of arts and culture to transform lives, bring together neighborhoods, and make greater Los Angeles a dynamic and rewarding place to live, work, and play. Adding your voice to our growing network will strengthen Arts for LA, as it works to promote policies that uphold these values:

  • Every resident deserves access to a variety of arts and cultural experiences, both in the major arts institutions and in neighborhood cultural centers and programs.

  • Arts education is central to the development of all children and to ongoing creative engagement for people of all ages.

  • Artists and arts organizations require a social environment that values and supports their contributions and encourages excellence.

  • The breadth, depth, and diversity of artistic and cultural life are critical measures of the vitality of Los Angeles.

  • Arts for LA envisions the greater Los Angeles region as one in which government, education, business and residents value, support and fully integrate the arts—in all their diversity—into the fabric of civic life.

State of the Arts Summit

Join us for the State of the Arts Summit 2020!

A series of four Community Strategy Sessions culminating
in a day-long convening on October 16.

This year, Arts for LA's State of the Arts Summit will include five (5) individual digital events. Throughout September, Arts for LA will host a series of four (4) Community Strategy Sessions each focusing on a different topic impacting the creative community: affordable spaces, equitable arts education, creative jobs, and arts funding. These sessions are a chance for you to share your experience, ideas for change, and help shape Arts for LA's 2021 public policy agenda. Make your voice heard in this critical moment!

These four Community Strategy Sessions will culminate on October 16 at our main event, the State of the Arts Summit. This conference-style digital convening will provide attendees with the opportunity to network, engage with cross-sector leaders, hear the final report from our 2020 Laura Zucker Research Fellow, and review the takeaways from all four Community Strategy Sessions.
