Art Instructor & Studio Technician

Element Art Center is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Art Instructor & Studio Technician to join our creative team! We are seeking to fill this position by August, so if you are passionate about art, enjoy working with people, and possess strong technical skills, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

* Teach classes and workshops in either wheel throwing (ceramics) and/or stained glass.
* Provide guidance and support to studio members of varying skill levels
* Maintain studio equipment and ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment
* Assist with studio operations, including materials management and class preparation
* Collaborate with other instructors to foster a positive community atmosphere

Qualifications:

* Proficiency in either wheel throwing (ceramics), stained glass fabrication, or both
* Previous teaching experience preferred, but a willingness to teach is required
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable, detail-oriented, and organized
* Ability to lift 50lbs

Schedule: Part-time, flexible scheduling. Some evening and weekend availability is required, as we need staff for Thursday-Sunday.

Salary: $25 – $28/ hourly
