Emergency Appointment: TECHNICAL DIRECTOR

The 1,500-seat Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro is ready to emerge from 2 years of renovations and will need a Technical Director to lead the technical and production activities at the venue, starting in December 2026 for 200+ individual productions. THIS IS AN EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT, FOR UP TO ONE (1) YEAR FROM THE DATE OF HIRE WHILE THE CITY ESTABLISHES A CIVIL SERVICE LIST OF QUALIFIED CANDIDATES. THIS EMERGENCY HIRE WILL BE INVITED TO APPLY TO BE INCLUDED ON THE LIST.

Must be able to lift 20 – 25 lbs unassisted and possess a CA Class C drivers license. NOTE: Applicants who lack the required (4 yr. college education) may substitute one year of full-time paid experience for each year of education lacking.

Salary: $69,091.92 – $101,017.44, annually

Benefits: Paid Time Off (Sick, vacation and holiday pay),

Auto enrolled in a personal retirement program at 4.5% of salary, matched at 1% by the City of Los Angeles.

13 paid City of Los Angeles holidays; 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked – available beginning 90 days from the date of hire.
