Are you an artist in need of critical medical, mental health, or dental treatment? Has a medical emergency impacted your creative practice? The Rauschenberg Medical Emergency Grants program provides grants of up to $5,000 for recent, unexpected medical, dental, and mental health emergencies experienced by artists in financial need who are creating in the visual arts, film/video/electronic/digital arts, or choreography. Privacy is guaranteed. Cycle 38 is now open until September 15 for emergencies occurring February 1, 2026 and later. This program is open to artists living anywhere in the U.S., its territories, tribal nations, and the District of Columbia. Artists with disabilities, artists of color, and artists living outside of New York are particularly encouraged to apply.
