Senior Development Manager

Designation: Full-time; Exempt
Schedule: Office Hours 9AM – 5PM, but must be able to work some nights and weekends
Travel: Travel to event sites and vendor locations is required

Position Overview:
The Senior Development Manager (“Sr. Manager”) is a member of the Advancement team and is responsible for individual donations (up to $10,000), project management of key giving campaigns, and event coordination and fundraising. This role is part front-line fundraiser, part project manager, and offers an opportunity to make a real impact on a strong team.
A successful Sr. Manager is well-versed in donor engagement and current fundraising strategies,
with an understanding of how to develop and execute a fundraising vision. The Sr. Manager’s
overall goal is to expand and increase the organization’s individual giving and events
fundraising categories to effectively support P.S. ARTS’ mission, goals, and initiatives.

Essential Functions:
§ Engage and secure individual donors (<$10k).
§ Engage and secure individual donors through strategic campaigns, including designing audience-specific activations alongside the Advancement Director.
§ Manage the execution of P.S. ARTS signature events and friend-raisers, including board and
council engagement.
§ Manage the execution of fundraising campaigns.
§ Serve as a point of contact for incoming community engagement opportunities.

The Sr. Manager’s key tasks include the following:
Individual Donors
§ Leverage and build on P.S. ARTS’ strategic campaigns, generate ideas and strategies to
cultivate and fundraise from individual donors;
§ Work with the Advancement Associate to bring new, qualified individual prospects to our
outreach list on a regular basis;
§ Create meaningful onramps to cultivate existing individual donors and recruit new
donors in partnership with the Advancement Director;
§ Keep all P.S. ARTS donor management and communications systems up to date.
Signature Events & Friend-Raisers
§ Lead the tactical planning for events in line with the strategic direction;
§ Manage and track event budgets and revenue, and surface any concerns;
Serve as a primary point of contact and coordinate board and council event committees;
§ Liaise with event consultants and contractors on tracking budget, revenue, and progress;
§ Take the lead on event execution for items not under consultant purview.
Other Fundraising Campaigns
§ Guide the internal project management of key campaigns, coordinating across departments to execute the vision;
§ Establish and lead campaign meetings and check-ins as needed.

Qualifications
§ 4+ years of experience leading fundraising campaigns
§ Direct experience securing $10k and under individual gifts from new and renewal sources
§ Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategy from start to finish
§ Exceptionally strong organization and project management skills
§ Ability to independently manage workload and develop systems for effective self-management
§ Established prospecting and moves management skills
§ Proficiency with CRM databases, preferably Raiser’s Edge and Mailchimp
§ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, both formal and informal
§ Experience working in client-facing roles, preferably senior-level clients and board members
Working Conditions:
§ Lift, push, or carry supplies, equipment, instruments, or furniture up to 40 lbs.
§ Bend, twist, reach, stand, and/or sit for long periods of time.
§ View LCD screens for extended periods.
§ Potential work with video equipment, video recording, and/or being recorded.
§ Travel to and attend meetings and events outside of your primary worksite.

Salary: $79,000 – $82,000, annually
